IT Field Engineer
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire (with travel to client sites)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting for a growing Managed Service Provider looking for a IT Field Engineer to join their team.
This is a hands-on role for someone with an interest in IT and networking who wants to develop their skills and gain experience working alongside experienced engineers.
The Role
- Assist with IT and network installations at customer sites
- Help engineers install and configure routers, switches and other network equipment
- Assist with cabling, hardware and general infrastructure projects
- Provide basic troubleshooting across Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365 and Hyper-V
- Support engineers with customer projects, site visits and infrastructure maintenance
- Gain hands-on experience across networking, servers, cloud and IT infrastructure
- Learn and develop your technical skills alongside experienced engineers
About You
- Some IT experience, education or relevant qualifications
- A genuine interest in networking and IT
- Basic understanding of networking concepts
- Keen to learn and develop
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working on customer sites
- Full UK driving licence
You don't need to be experienced in configuring routers and switches - training and support will be provided. We're looking for someone with the right attitude who is keen to build a career in networking.
